HeatAdapt uses the inputs provided by the heat pump manufacturer for controlling the heat pump, typically called smart grid inputs.
During peak hours, HeatAdapt restricts or limits space heating and domestic hot water production. Preheating is used during the most favorable hours. The specific control options depend on the heat pump model.
HeatAdapt never interrupts the power to the heat pump. As a result, even during peak price hours, the heat pump’s menu controls remain operational. Depending on the model and heating system, circulation pumps and other components with low energy consumption may continue to operate.
