HeatAdapt takes into account the output from solar panels.
After installing HeatAdapt, you can enter your solar panel parameters – orientation, tilt angle, and capacity. By combining solar panel data with solar radiation forecasts, HeatAdapt takes into account the expected output and optimizes the heating schedule when there is excess production from the solar panels. This allows you to increase self-consumption, especially during spring when solar panel output is often good and the weather is cool enough for the heat pump to operate actively.
If a battery is added to the system, the heat pump control allows for more battery energy to be sold to the grid during peak pricing, or for the stored battery energy to be used for longer coverage of peak price periods.
